Why 0600 and why Kettle Bells?
Let's start with the easy answer:
Why Kettle Bells?
Kettle Bells can be traced back well over one hundred years. Imagine a cast iron ball about the size of a cannonball attached to a very thick iron handle. Kettle Bell training has been embraced by military units, professional athletic teams, running programs, endurance athletes of all types, and many other fitness disciplines.
Kettle Bells provide the ability to perform many different exercises in the same movement. With a dumbbell, the movements are not as smooth or easy to perform because of the shape. The Kettle Bell allows one to transition to many various exercises very quickly. This is not only effective for strength, but outstanding for conditioning, endurance and dropping body fat. The high caloric expenditure and the increased level of intensity necessary to perform Kettle Bell exercises are key to an efficient workout.
Why 0600?
Well, perhaps that's any easy one, too.
0600 grows with you. Because there are several program offerings, it will be easy for you to find the right fit.
When 0600 members in the Early Morning Fitness class decided they wanted to run a local race, the class took it outside once each week to run hills, work on sprints and increase endurance. Nine out of 10 of the Early Morning class turned in personal best race results.
When a group of women came to 0600 staff with an idea for "women only" strength training, we liked what they had to say. And started a class where we left the big weights and the big guys at home. Needless to say, bikini retailers will be getting some extra business this summer.
Three friends who met weekly for coffee decided to pool their resources and tailor a personal training program just for them. They're not meeting for coffee anymore, but thanks to 0600, they'll be meeting at the starting line of a Duathlon this spring.
